A train journey into history and nature
Besides traveling a picturesque path the little train tells the story of the prisoners that served their criminal sentences in Ushuaia. Aforetime, the train left from the prison towards the slope of the Susana Mountain with the objective of obtaining materials (wood and stone) for construction.
The End of the World Station is an iconic place where you will be able to see the maintenance workshops, old pictures and you can buy souvenirs at the gift shop or have a drink at the coffee store while you wait for the departure of the train
The little train crosses a forest of high and low deciduous beech trees known as lenga and ñire, peatlands, the Pipo River, the Burnt Bridge where it will be able to stop and get to the first panoramic viewpoint. While learning through an audio guide system on board, with native voices in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian, German and Chinese you will appreciate the stunning landscape.
There are three categories: Tourist Class, Superior First Class and Premium Class.
The train works 365 days a year, despite snowstorms. It is one the most rewarding experiences a family can have together.
