Social Tourism and Awareness Program

Social Tourism Program Report

The Social Tourism and Awareness Program has been carried out since 2016 by the Municipal Tourism Department. It offers educational and recreational activities exclusively for the local community, with a focus on educational institutions of various levels, organizations that promote social inclusion, the development of people with disabilities, individuals with limited resources, and senior citizens.

Objectives:

To provide children, people with disabilities, and senior citizens the opportunity to learn about and explore the history, flora, and fauna of Ushuaia and its surroundings, encouraging inclusive activities.

To promote good environmental practices and responsible behavior when enjoying tourism resources, fostering awareness and care for heritage.

To raise awareness about the importance of tourism for the city’s sustainable and socioeconomic development.

To achieve these goals, we organize educational and recreational field activities for residents. These are coordinated with educational institutions at all levels, as well as organizations that promote social inclusion, the development of people with disabilities, and support for individuals with limited resources and senior citizens.

Our actions are coordinated with other national, provincial, and municipal public agencies related to tourism development in the city, as well as with private sector service providers.

Our Activities:
